We know how it’s hard to get people to watch your streams and make them return.
Every streamer wants to grow their viewer base but how do you get people to keep coming back to your streams?
Below are four key ways to make an impact and make sure the viewers come back next time.
Do these three things more than once. Get these nailed down and you will look back on what your stream used to be in no time.
Let’s dive in!
3 Keys To Keep People Watching Your Streams
1. You Gain Viewers Faster by Being Interested in Them.
The first key to keep people watching on Twitch, Beam, or Hitbox is to be interested in them.
Get to know them, ask them about their day, and find other ways to build the relationship.
The people who stop by are taking time out of their day to spend it with you.
If you want people to return to your stream to help grow the viewership showing them you care about them and their lives is very important.Showing you viewers that you care about them and their lives is very important. Click To Tweet
2. Give Your Viewers What They Want.
The second key is to give them what they want to see. Think about the day’s you have peaked your viewership; what game were you playing? Were you painting or creating music?
Try that again!
You can also ask your audience what they like to see the most. Some will let you know they come by for you and your personality but others will tell you what they like watching the most.
If you have no viewers, you will need to think about what you want to stream most often and stick to that. Being a purely variety streamer makes it very hard to grow.
It can get very exhausting streaming the same thing day after day after day. So, if you are gaming, pick a few games to start that are all similar and stream them.
We recommend sticking to one early one to grow within that viewer base.
3. Give Honest and Sincere Appreciation.
The final and third key to keep people watching your streams is to be honest and sincere in your appreciation.
Even if you are brand new to streaming and there is no one there or no one chatting thank them for being there, anyway.
Be grateful for anyone who has shown up whether they are there or not when you end.
If people don’t think you care about them being there, then they will most likely not come back.
4. Keep People Watching With Giveaways
Who doesn’t like free stuff?
If you are looking to get new people into your stream, giving away free stuff always seems to help.
The problem with this is that many people will come just for the giveaway and never return.
So this is your moment to make them want to stay. If you are doing steps one through three, the chances of getting a giveaway viewer to stick around will greatly improve.
